Turntable de/reconstruction of J.S.Bach Complete Organ Works played by Jean-Jacques Grunenwald (Resonances, 1962).
An impromtu improvisation that took place during the intermission between two, butoh-inspired dance works...OhFatherOhKing (with Melissa Pasut) and LoveMe (with MP & Rachel Sweeney), both of which comprised the Anoikis Contemporary Dance production entitled HowlingIntoTheSun, performed at the Capstone Theatre, Liverpool in 2016.
The recording was captured in audio-verite style, direct from a video camera positioned in an open control booth...hence the negligible audio quality and the concrète sounds of a restless audience (which indeed lend a somewhat surreal, vaguely disquieting atmosphere to the piece). There has been no editing or post-production of any kind.
