about

Turntable de/reconstruction of J.S.Bach Complete Organ Works played by Jean-Jacques Grunenwald (Resonances, 1962).
An impromtu improvisation that took place during the intermission between two, butoh-inspired dance works...OhFatherOhKing (with Melissa Pasut) and LoveMe (with MP & Rachel Sweeney), both of which comprised the Anoikis Contemporary Dance production entitled HowlingIntoTheSun, performed at the Capstone Theatre, Liverpool in 2016.
The recording was captured in true audio-vérité style, with the stereo microphone of an analogue VCR camera positioned in an open control booth in the centre of the auditorium...hence the negligible sound quality and the concrète noise of a restless audience (which indeed lends a somewhat surreal, vaguely disquieting atmosphere to the piece). There has been no editing or post-production of any kind.
